Crepey Skin - And How To Fix It

What Is Crepey Skin?

Crepey Skin is the result of your body's response to lowered levels of collagen and elastin proteins that allow your skin to stretch and contract.

Starting in your 30's protein production in your skin begins to drop, which results in thinner skin that will eventually start to thin and sag (especially around the eyes). This is sometimes called "elephant skin", "paper-thin skin", or "grandma skin".

Crepey skin results from thinning layers of skin called the dermis (the 2nd layer of our skin) and the epidermis (our top layer of skin). Sun exposure and decline in moisture due to aging can also cause changes in your skins texture at this time.

At PYNCH, we have the solution for your Crepey Skin. With the use of Profractional XC, Pixel Perfect C02 Fractional, and Contour TRL Resurfacing lasers, we are able to regenerate your natural collagen and elastin production. For added benefit around the eyes, injections of Belotero and/or PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) may be used 2 weeks post laser treatment.
